Community Involvement

OPMG remains committed to improving the lives of residents, Boards and communities through hands-on involvement. OPMG is proud to be involved in various community programs and causes including the Breakfast Club and the Diversity Scholarship Program.

Breakfast Club
The Spirit of the North Cafe Breakfast Club is operated by volunteer members from a co-operative managed by OPMG for the children that reside there. This program began on September 5, 2006 with the intent of assisting children to excel in learning by providing a healthy breakfast and a healthy bagged lunch on a daily basis. Twenty to thirty children participate. Donations for the program are accepted from the community and local businesses such as the Ontario Property Management Group.

Diversity Scholarship Program
Since 2005, OPMG has taken on a major role in the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT) Diversity Scholarship Program helping to support and raise money for some of the recipients attending colleges and universities throughout Ontario. The purpose of this program is to provide scholarships to those who demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity in their CHFT member housing
co-operative communities.

The Ontario Property Management Group has donated over $50,000 to the scholarship program since 2005.

Since arriving, you have changed the dynamics of our co-op. I really thank you both for the terrific leadership you are giving and the very quick way you have gotten on board with the situation at the co-op.
