On September 12, 2008, it was our pleasure to announce the appointment of Shirley Van Steen and Lisa Webb as members of OPMG’s inaugural advisory board of directors.
Shirley and Lisa bring many key skills and experiences to our advisory board, which enables OPMG to continue improving our services and build upon an already solid foundation. Our clients truly benefit from their experience, knowledge and extended network of professionals.
Shirley Van Steen
Shirley brings a unique understanding of the social housing sector to the board. Prior to retiring in December 2007 as director of housing services with the Regional Municipality of Durham, Shirley was a regional director with the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and executive assistant to the deputy minister. She began her career with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in the human resources field. Shirley holds a BA in Economics from Queen’s University, a graduate diploma in Public Administration from Carleton University and a CPM designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada.
As senior director of client services at Aspen Marketing, Lisa oversees the account management group and provides strategic business leadership on all businesses. She is a 15-year veteran of marketing communications. Throughout her career, Lisa has provided brand marketing and advertising support for many different product verticals, including automotive (Nissan), financial services (CIBC) and education (York University), by delivering big business solutions, ideas and thought leadership. She has won numerous industry awards for print, web and fundraising campaigns. Lisa has a BA in Central/ Eastern Europe and Russian Area Studies from Carleton University.
